Lightweight Construction, Component Optimisation and Conversation of Resources through Innovative Design When designing components the manufacturing process itself can also generate decisive momentum. Casting is a modern, reliable process. Opting for a casting process gives engineers virtually unlimited design freedom. The material forms the basis – and the design holds the potential! The new moulds and dies for optimised topology almost automatically entail component geometries that are ideally suited for casting. This means lightweight construction and component optimisation can be achieved by means of innovative casting design. Furthermore, it is a resource and energy saving production process.
The NEWCAST Forum and the accompanying special exhibition will be a fi rst-rate information forum for design engineers and buyers of cast components for the following key target groups:
> Automotive industry
> Mechanical engineering
> Energy management
> Aviation and aerospace technology
> Construction industry
Users of cast components will obtain an overview of both the
most recent state-of-the-art developments and the latest options
in component design and possible applications.
