JSW Steel is investing in electric steel production

As part of JSW Steel's expansion into non-grain-oriented (NGO) electrical steel production at its Vijayanagar Works, Fives together with John Cockerill signed a contract to design and supply three processing lines.

Fives will supply the annealing furnaces for an Annealing and Pickling Line (APL) with an annual capacity of 600,000 metric tonnes, and two Annealing and Coating Lines (ACL), each with an annual capacity of 270,000 metric tonnes, for electric vehicles and electrical motors.
