Finally, the four-fair event GIFA, METEC, THERMPROCESS and NEWCAST has opened its doors on 28 June 2011. Those interested have been anxious to enter the trade fair grounds of Messe Düsseldorf. Our reporter Emily Whigham spoke to visitors from all over the world.

German heavy industry - back to business

The German economy has reached the pre-crisis level, according to one of the latest reports from the Federal Office of Statistics. The heavy indutry was in good mood and focuses on quality and energy efficiency. In addition, sustainability became more and more important.
