Today, non-destructive testing methods are among the standardized and most frequently used quality testing methods in industry. With the cooperation agreement now signed between SHS - Stahl-Holding-Saar (SHS) and VECTOR Technische Unternehmensberatung (TUB) GmbH - a company of TÜV Saarland Holding GmbH - Saarland will receive an excellent training center for employees in Saarland and beyond.
“Through the cooperation with the NDT and training professionals at VECTOR TUB GmbH, we can train our employees as well as NDT representatives from other companies here in Saarland on site and prepare them for the relevant certifications,” explains Joerg Disteldorf, Managing Director of SHS and responsible for this Human Resources Department.
With a triad of testing, training and certification, the TÜV Saarland NDT group is committed to quality assurance for the entire material cycle. A key aspect is the qualification of employees in the company.
“Experts in the NDT Group’s international network train participants at locations in Germany, Europe, the USA and Asia. The accredited programs all meet at least the requirements for personnel certification according to the standards DIN EN ISO 9712, DIN ISO 18436-1, DIN EN ISO 9972, the Pressure Equipment Directive 2014/68/EU and the ASME B&PV Code for employer certification according to SNT-TC-1A and ANSI/ASNT CP-189. I am very pleased that we have been able to gain a competent location partner in SHS - Stahl-Holding-Saar, who will further enrich our offering,” said Dr. Achim Jung, Managing Director of VECTOR TUB GmbH/TÜV Saarland NDT group.
Proven quality assurance
Non-destructive testing methods are now one of the established quality assurance measures and are carried out, among other things, by means of radiographic testing, ultrasonic testing, eddy current testing or thermography. All procedures are standardized according to international standards and the employees carrying out them must demonstrate appropriate specialist knowledge.
“Thanks to recognized and standardized test procedures, we can ensure the quality of our products in a transparent manner and document them well for our customers,” explains Dr. Peter Maagh, Managing Director SHS - Stahl-Holding-Saar, Technology Department.
The first training courses have already been carried out successfully. Further training measures at the new location in Dillingen have already been advertised and will be carried out this year.
