Yongxing Special Stainless Steel Co., Ltd, placed an order with Friedrich Kocks GmbH & Co KG for a RSB 370⁺⁺/4 Reducing & Sizing Block in SCS Design. The private company listed on the stock exchange was established in the year 2000 by its parent company and two subsidiaries Huzhou Yongxing Special Steel Imp & Exp Co., Ltd, and Huzhou Yongxing Materials Recycling Co., Ltd. It is one of the three leading Chinese stainless steel producers with a production of 250 000 t/a. Yongxing is located in Huzhou City, a prefecture-level city with a population of approx. 2.9 million in the province of Zhejang, about 150 km west of Shanghai.

The 3-roll Reducing & Sizing Block will be implemented in a new combined wire rod & bar mill producing high-quality stainless steel as well as nickel-based alloys. The Kocks Block will be installed downstream of a reversing roughing mill and an intermediate continuous mill consisting of 14 HV-stands.

The scope of supply consists of a Heavy Duty RSB^® with new improved stand changing concept (T-type), 10 stands with guides, spare and wear parts, rollshop equipment with Capas as well as assembly and commissioning supervision.

The RSB will be dimensioned for the production of straight bar and bar in coil within a finished dimension range of 14 – 100 mm Ø as well as for any pre-cross-section for the wire rod mill with a dimension range of 5.5 to 16mm Ø at a maximum speed of 14 m/s.

The RSB SCS is the latest milestone in reducing and sizing technology for SBQ products and will allow Yongxing to enhance its bar and wire quality, improve productivity, mill availability and economy as well as to enjoy a simplified, safe and environmentally friendly operation.
