From 24 to 28 June 2019, the VDEh Steel Institute will be organising the 4th ESTAD, Europe's leading conference for the steel industry, to accompany METEC, the world's leading trade fair for metallurgical technology.
In 2019, the 4th European Steel Technology and Application Days (ESTAD) will once again accompany the International Metallurgy Trade Fair (METEC), which will take place for the tenth time. The Steel Institute VDEh is thus sticking to the tradition of accompanying the METEC with a technical conference.
The 4th ESTAD is organized by the Steel Institute VDEh in cooperation with its partners, the Austrian Society for Metallurgy and Materials, Jernkontoret (Sweden) and the Associazione Italiana di Metallurgia.
The conference will focus on all technical topics relating to steel, its production and applications, as well as environmental and energy aspects. This gives participants the opportunity to obtain comprehensive first-hand information. The programme for 2019 is divided into five thematic areas:
- Ironmaking
- Steelmaking
- Rolling and forging
- Steel materials and their application, additive manufacturing, surface technologies
- Environmental and energy aspects
