Self-Propelled Transporters

In the second half of the 20th century, a trend began that would forever change the entire transportation industry. With the first self-propelled transport modules used in shipbuilding and the SPMT (self-propelled modular transporter) invented by SCHEUERLE in the nineteen-eighties, the potential payloads suddenly increased and are basically unlimited today. Today, seventy percent of all transports over 3,000 tons and ninety percent of all transports over 5,000 tons are performed on modular, self-propelled vehicles by SCHEUERLE. Thus, modular manufacturing has gained a foothold in the oil and gas industry, shipbuilding and many other sectors. Unit weights of 15,000 tons - world record - have already been transported with SPMT by SCHEUERLE.

Modular Vehicles for Road Transportation

Your road to success
The TII Group offers a wide range of modular vehicles for transporting loads on public roads. The wide product range comprises different model series of modular platform vehicles with various load capacities, platform heights and vehicle widths. In order to optimize payloads, the focus of the design process is on an extremely lightweight construction whilst retaining the bending-resistant main beams. The basis of the modular road vehicle solutions by the TII Group is the hydraulically-supported pendulum axle, which was developed by SCHEUERLE in 1956 and has revolutionized heavy-duty transport since its market launch. It allows for an even distribution of the payload across multiple axles. Uneven ground conditions can be compensated for up to 650 mm. Nevertheless, the hydraulic pendulum axle is very road-friendly. The all-wheel steering with large steering angles guarantees the best possible maneuverability of the heavy-duty vehicles.

Compact Vehicles for Road Transportation

Experience efficiency
The transition from modular to compact vehicle within the product range of the TII Group is fluent, as even compact vehicles such as the SCHEUERLE EuroCompact may be extended by modular elements and adapted to the respective transport assignments. The bottom of the scale is marked by the SCHEUERLE-NICOLAS Euroflex, shouldering a payload of 32 tons in its smallest version. On the other hand, loads of more than 100 tons are comfortably transported by the SCHEUERLE EuroCompact, a category otherwise reserved for heavy modular platform trailers such as the SCHEUERLE-KAMAG K25 or the SCHEUERLE InterCombi. The product range is complemented by a comprehensive accessories program including decks, load distributors, ramps and other extras, allowing you to tailor the compact vehicles by the TII Group to your exact application
