The production of mould plates starts with the casting of the selected alloy, which is then die-cast in brams. The brams are hot-rolled or forged, and then cold-rolled. After an ultrasound, test, which must, needless to say, be passed 100%, the next step involves mechanical processing with high-precision control equipment so as to meet the geometrical tolerances specified in the construction projects. In this phase the steel studs can also be welded, when such a step is called for in the technical specifications. Here processing usually ends. If required by customers, the mould can additionally be coated with a protective layer of zinc. The mould plate is now ready to be tested. The size test certificate is packed together with the material.
