Adaptive Hardware

The electro spindle, mounted on a force actuator and on a quick-change plate, is used to remove small flashes in those areas where it is not possible to measure and apply the adaptive algorithm

The spindle is mounted on a two-position tilting support and allows to work using both the tip and the side of the tool.

The force actuator allows to use constant pressure on the piece to be worked. This allows to use effectively also “paper”, resin-bonded and generally all tools that get consumed and change shape quickly.

The use of compliant force-actuator allows to adapt the working strategy to comply with both the shape of the tool and the geometry of the casting.

Waterjet

The robotic milling unit becomes a complete multifunction machining centre for stone processing.

Our multifunctional systems for marble, granite and natural stone machining are specifically designed to integrate the features of milling robots with the function of the waterjet head for the 2D cutting of stone slabs.

Our robotic systems are equipped, other than with the traditional hardware and software, with a rotating table for 3D milling purposes on one side, and with a waterjet table on the other side to cut slabs.

The combined use of the two functions allow to automate and to a certain extent to industrialize and diversify the production: 3D objects, kitchen tops, furniture and slabs for different purposes.

Milling packages

Turn-key solutions to mill your ideas
Milling packages are standard milling solutions, developed and optimized during the years. A standard package is composed by: robot, spindle, rotating table, tool rack and tool setter, but on customer’s demand the system can be provided with additional items and accessories. Each solution is dimensioned based on material and average size of the pieces to be worked. Robot arm reach influences the working envelop, while the power of the spindle has to be chosen according to the hardness of the material that needs to be processed.

Specifications: 
  • Robot arm reach can range from 900mm to 4200mm and relative payload varies in the range of 10 to 550 kg.
  • Power of the spindle ranges from 1 to 30 kW. The choice depends on the hardness of the material. Generally, the harder is the material, the more powerful the spindle would need to be.
  • Rotating table payload can go from 1 to 30 tons
  • Tool racks vary in terms of number of positions and types of tool holder (ISO40/ISO50/HSK F/ HSK A).
