ISO-EXO EXO 23 - EXO 25B SLEEVES

The name EXO 23 indicates the usage of ceramic fibers.

The name EXO 25 indicates instead the usage of biosoluble ceramic/mineral fibers.

Both fibers characterize the product, giving it as prerogative a good insulating power, together with a strong exothermic reaction due to the use of metallic aluminum. Prime quality raw materials, like those used for insulating products, and the vacuum production process give to the product an apparent density of about 0,5/0,7g/ cm3, and a good mechanical resistance. Thanks to its exothermic characteristic, this kind of sleeve is appropriate for a material with short intervals of solidification: various steel alloys, spheroidal graphite cast iron, etc. The use of this kind of sleeve enables a marked reduction of the riser volumes, compared to those in sand and in insulating material. The maximum capacity of the volume settling is 40/50%.

The  codification  with  letter  B  means  the  usage  of  a  different charge material, basic or neutral, that allows to the product to be more suitable for all types of cast iron, especially for the ones with manganese.
